Grig McCoy

Grig was the kind of person you never forget. At 16 years old, he was already well known for his huge heart, fearless attitude, and fierce love for life. Whether he was sliding into home plate, telling a ridiculous joke, or hyping up his friends, Grig always gave everything his all. He lived big, laughed big, and loved big.

That spirit - of joy, courage, and connection - is what we carry forward through every legacy project we support.

What it Means to Go Big

After Grig passed in June 2022, his family, friends, and community felt a tidal wave of grief - and love. Everyone wanted to do something. To honor him. To remember him. To reflect the enormous light he brought into the world. But there was no map. No framework.

So “Go Big for Grig” became the rallying cry. A way to turn grief into action. A way to keep his energy alive.

That spirit sparked the creation of Go Big Foundation—to help other families do the same in honor of their own children.
